At Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation Center, we believe healing happens in the quiet moments, too – the ones spent in fresh air, surrounded by the natural beauty of East Tennessee. Our Adopt-a-Plant Healing Garden is a growing, ever-changing campus landscape shaped by heartfelt contributors who understand the simple power of nature. Plants, flowers, trees, and natural light have a remarkable ability to enrich the lives of everyone who visits our community.

The gardens flow from our flagpole and mailbox, along the exterior of the building, and extend into our interior courtyards, so residents, family members, staff, and guests can experience seasonal beauty wherever they wander across our campus.
Partnering with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation is proud to partner with University of Tennessee Knoxville alumna Carolyn J. Price, PhD, who serves as the Healing Garden’s lead gardener. Carol oversees the garden’s implementation across every space of opportunity on our campus, ensuring that residents and visitors alike enjoy the most impressive seasonal views our community can offer, from early spring blooms to the rich colors of Tennessee autumn.
Support from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery
The Healing Garden has also grown thanks to generous donations from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery in Altamont, Tennessee. With more than 60 years in the wholesale nursery industry, the Nursery has graciously shipped plants for research and community benefit. While our gardening team is already convinced of the documented healing benefits of nature, we are deeply grateful for the partnership that has made this garden so special for everyone who visits our campus.

A living part of our care plan
The Healing Garden is a daily reminder of what whole-person care really looks like. It’s a place where the outdoors becomes part of the healing journey and where every resident is invited to belong.
